Our History

ESS was founded in 2013 with a singular mission: deliver consistently excellent service via the best, most knowledgeable industry experts throughout New England. We are a member and active participant of the National Electrical Manufacturers Representative Association (NEMRA) and focus on electrical wiring devices, lamps, electrical cable and controls sold primarily through wholesale distribution channels. As the region’s sole Legrand representative, we’re proud to support the entire line of Legrand products including: Wattstopper, Pass and Seymour, Adorne, Cablofil, Nuvo, OnQ, and Wiremold. We offer the GE Lamps catalogue of products and Commodity Cables products.

Each division has a unique mission but together we deliver a seamless blend of products and services to the electrical professional in our region. As New England’s largest dedicated Controls team, we provide the knowledge and experience to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness from today’s sophisticated lighting controls systems. Our certified Design and Application Engineers deploying the most advanced WattStopper® technology can help deliver significant energy savings plus enhanced lighting quality and aesthetics. LED lighting has made available an even wider spectrum of lighting controls and color tuning. Many local and state building codes now require lighting controls in new and retrofit applications. The ES3 Controls division is staffed to help select, integrate, program, and conduct system start-up and training to your exacting specifications.
